Dark Horse Comics
Dark Horse publishes many licensed comics, including comics based on Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Aliens, and Predator. Dark Horse also publishes creator owned comics such as Frank Miller’s Sin City and 300, Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo, Katsuhiro Otomo’s Akira and Michael Chabon’s The Escapist.
One of the largest and most popular American comic book and related media companies, DC Comics produces material featuring a large number of well-known characters, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, the Justice League and the rest of the DC Universe.
Founded in 1992 by seven high-profile illustrators as a venue where creators could publish their material without giving up the copyrights to the characters they created, as creator-owned properties. An American independent comic book publisher based in Portland, Oregon. It was founded in 1997 by Bob Schreck and Joe Nozemack. Oni Press has published such notable works as Queen & Country, Tek Jansen, Scott Pilgrim, Local, Courtney Crumrin, and various comics based on Kevin Smith’s films.
This comic series is about 24-year-old Canadian Scott Pilgrim, a slacker, hero, wannabe-rockstar, who is living in Toronto and playing bass in the band “Sex Bob-Omb.” He falls in love with American delivery girl Ramona V. Flowers, but must defeat her seven “evil ex-boyfriends” in order to date her.
